Being passionate about the natural environment and conservation, Richard qualified with a degree in Forestry from Bangor University in 1993. He started working with trees whilst studying for his degree and has done so ever since.
This work also took him to Sweden where he worked for one of the leading firms doing a variety of Commercial and Domestic tree care. This work in Sweden allowed him to absorb a vast array of techniques improving both safety and efficiency. Richard maintains a scientific interest in trees and nature. He is also a specialist in tree pest and tree disease diagnosis.

Works carried out by Snowdonia Tree Services comply to industry recognised standards BS3998 : British Standard Recommendations for tree work. Good working practice, a keen eye for safety and a comprehensive policy ensure we comply to the relevant health and safety legislation. All our staff hold NPTC City and Guilds certification. We hold Public Liability Insurance to 5 million pounds.
